Cedarville!!

We took a college visit to Cedarville University yesterday.

It was a really awesome day, and I have officially been recruited at the "young" age of 14 to go to Cedarville. I'm in love with that place.

Honestly, the first moment we stepped out of the car, I was like "Ummm, mom? Where are the trees? And where are the...people?"

It was raining and we parked in the biggest parking lot on campus (which has no trees in it), and most of the students were either in their dorm or in class. It looked gray and lonely, and I wasn't sure I liked it.

We were welcomed into the student center, where we watched a video and a guy talk about Cedarville. I loved the video, and after it was over, turned to my mom and said, "I'm going to college here." She smiled.

Well then we had a campus tour, which was cold and windy, but fascinating, then Mom, Evan, and I had a meeting with the Church Music professor on campus. That was a great meeting, and helped me to further think through what I want to do with my life!

Lunch. I stepped into the cafeteria, and my breath was taken away. Now, I've never had many problems with clausterphobia, but I seriously did when we walked in. I clung to my mom like I was a little kid. I wouldn't go anywhere within 10 feet of her without shivering inwardly. Now, don't get wrong, the students are wonderful! There's just SO many! I became pretty self conscious of what I was putting on my plate, and hugged it to my stomach like a prized possession. Afterwards, when I confidently walked across the entire cafeteria to get my water, I was able to laugh at myself. It would have been pretty funny to watch me, I assume.

After lunch we visited classes. I went to an acting class. About that time I started feeling under the weather, so  I chilled with Mom for the next session. We quickly visited the dorms before leaving, with were cute, but small. I still loved them.

In between cat naps on the drive home, I kept thinking about how exciting it would be to go to college at Cedarville, despite my cafeteria fears. However, I am sure God would take those away quickly.

God will do a lot of things to my life before college comes, but yesterday reminded me there's so much more to life than just playing around in junior high. He is greater than all that.

Have a blessed weekend, ya'll!
