As I read an email from a friend that was an obvious April Fools joke, I thought back over some of the craziest April Fools jokes I had heard of. Never have I had one played one me that was that bad, but some of the ones I've heard of are positively mean.
James Macdonald, for example, set his kid's clocks back on hour, then woke them up "10 minutes before school." He told them "Get up!! Put your clothes on! Hurry! We all slept in!!" They all rushed out the door, rubbing the sleep from their eyes as they went. They got to school just in time -- to find the parking lot empty. Macdonald then took his kids out for a nice breakfast and took them back to school an hour later.
Then there are the ones they are a bit of a fail. My aunt, at a young age, ran up to my mom and grandma and said very loudly while trying to keep a straight face, "there's an ELEPHANT in the backyard!!!!" Haha. Those always make me laugh the hardest.
Maybe you've heard how one year YouTube turned all the videos upside down, suggesting you either turn your computer over or move to Australia? And for those of you food fans out there, in 1996, Taco Bell released a full page add saying in The New York Times saying they had purchased the Liberty Bell to "reduce the country's debt," renaming it to the "Taco Liberty Bell." And even today, Gmail has come out with the new version of their email: GmailMotion! www.gmail.com/motion
Hope YOU had a good prank played on you today! The Bible tells us that laughter is good for the soul, and joy is good for you. Proverbs 17:22- "A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." This verse means a lot to me, after having been sick a lot lately, just reminding me to keep a positive attitude, and to know that laughter is a good thing. God has a sense of humor, you know. Look all around you in nature. There are funny things. Funny looking animals, funny people, and strange things that happen. If God didn't have a sense of humor, dogs and cats wouldn't chase their tails on occasion (or maybe not on occasion), people wouldn't run into things without getting hurt, and nobody would laugh.
All that being said, I hate to end on a bad note, but I have no other choice. I would like all of you to know that I have decided to make this my last post, as this blog is rather overwhelming, with all my tons of 5 followers, and I hate to say goodbye to all you who read my posts. This just isn't going to work.
APRIL FOOLS!!!! :) ( I know that was a lame one, you don't have to tell me. Maybe the pure lameness of it will make you laugh anyways??? :D)
