Week One

Well, folks, we have now been in Chiang Mai for one whole week. It has actually gone pretty fast! It does still feel like yesterday when we walked into the airport to see the smiling (and yawning) faces of those who were there to greet us at 11:00 pm last Sunday night.

So! I'm guess some may possibly be curious as to what has filled up my time this short-ish week? Well, lots of randomness. I've been hanging out with old and new friends, taking pictures, playing with new apps on my new entertainment source called my iTouch, breaking into random dances anywhere and everywhere, crying (yes, that happens to the best of us =] ), laughing, lounging, biking, running (I'm so out of shape... its kinda scary), sleeping, unpacking, daydreaming, and so much more!

Since I'm sure pictures are much appreciated, here's a few to just give you a glimpse of my week!!!

Monday. I am at this point (c. 1:00pm) totally exhausted and tired of 12 year old boys running throughout my house, and they had been in my room for the last 15 minutes, sprawled out on my floor, talking casually with me about how stupid 7th graders are. And that's what they are. I mean- wait. Nevermind. The point is, I was pretty tired on Monday :).

The bike I rode for the first few days. It has a flat tire. Just thought you would want to know that ;)

Yeah, this is our car. I really dislike it. It has a curse. You see, on our second day of driving it, my dad gasps and a couple minutes later pulls over, and turns the car off. He waits for about 10 minutes then turns it on again. With a disgusted look on his face, he turns it off, and my mom whips out her handy dandy thingamabob called a phone, punches in a number, and has a short conversation with an invisible someone about "coming and picking us up." You see, this so-called "Miya Bus" overheated. So, our dear friend came in his pick-up truck to rescue us, and towed the lame-o-van. The repair man took it the next day. We still don't have it back. I hope it gets sent to the junkyard.

So yeah. Most of the rest of the week was spent hanging out with my friends. Yeah, we can get pretty crazy. I must have been seriously high or something, but while cleaning my room with two good friends who are sisters, I had the sudden idea that it would be cool to wrap my whole head in pre-wrap. So yeah, they were like "Kristen? You are SO weird!" (This is when one of my interpretive dances erupted. Hahahaha.)

Okay, okay, you can say it. I'm weird. Ha. I know. But that's what makes me awesome, right? *Silence* OKAY! God made me weird!!! You can't deny THAT! :)

This is me trying out bikes at the bikes store, with Kendall on the back to make sure the passenger seat worked. I got this bike and I LOVE it. It's a gear bike with a seat on the back, and awesome pink and silver pegs too! If you have name suggestions for it, please comment! :)

So, all that being said, it's really been a great week. I am really missing the States, but all this business has kept me pretty distracted, which is good. I've been able to skype with a few friends already! If you want to skype with me, comment and we can figure that out!!!

Please be sure to stop by the © I Am Third Photography page to check out some of my new pictures from this week!
