Trip to the Windy City

That's right. Chicago!! A few jr highers took a trip up to a church and after school program building to do some cleaning and organizing. We passed out flyers for a VBS at the after school program, and ate at a Mexican restaurant which took about an hour and a half to serve our food. Then we went to hang out at Navy Pier, which was a lot of fun. After that we went to a place for dinner called "Ed Debevics," which is this super cool place where the waiters are really mean to you on purpose. Our waitress called me blonde when I innocently asked if she was Santa, and that if so, I wanted my two front teeth. She immediately sneered, "your about to LOSE your two front teeth!"

A few of us amused ourselves at Ed Debevics by waving at passersby through the window and making funny faces. Some of the reactions were classic. The rest of the trip included a Chinese Fire Drill in the parking lot of a gas station called "Luke," dancing like maniacs in that same parking lot, blasting "Poker Face" through the van windows, and trying to sleep in a van full of talking girls. That was a fail.

All that being said, it was a great day. Here are some pictures from the trip:

we love car trips!

It is always so fun to serve Christ on trips while having fun with friends. If you've never been on a trip to serve and have fun with your friends, I suggest you do it. Working is SO much more enjoyable with comrades!! :) Have a great week ya'll!
